Research Post # 1 1_27_14

Hello Students!
Post your first research as a comment to my post.
In your post, you MUST include the following:

  • A working thesis or claim (working because it may change)
  • The sources, paraphrased and/or quoted.
  • The MLA style citation for each each source.
  • A few sentences explaining the relevance of the source in relation to your topic.
  • A few sentences explaining how the source has informed your argument.


Be sure to comment on at least 2 peers, evaluating the relevance of the source in relation to the argument. You may also present counter arguments your peer may not have thought of that he/she needs to address in a counterclaim. Maximum 2 peer comments per research post.

NOTE: All of your following research posts must be like the first unless told otherwise.

Research Post 3 2/6/13

Upload your pro and con argument points.

Post your working thesis and explain how the evidence you have collected thus far supports your. Explain each set of evidence separately.

Describe the additional evidence you will need to find in order to thoroughly support your thesis with multiple evidence and perspectives.

Comment on the thesis and rearch explanations of at least 2 classmates.
Give a thoughtful response to at least one student who commented on your work.
Be prepared to conference with me next class on your working thesis and your plan for your research.
